Title
Methods for identifying, describing and reducing mismatches in geospatial conceptual schema mapping
Abstract
This ongoing PhD work focuses on methods to support the mapping of large geospatial conceptual schemas. Specifically, methods that support a domain expert to create mappings and transformation rules that are as free of hidden mismatches, i.e. mappings that map incompatible concepts, as possible. A hypothesis of this work is that this can be achieved by including information on irreconcilable mismatches by making them a formal part of the mapping and by employing visualization and under interaction mechanisms to communicate mismatches to the experts creating the mapping.
