Medizin- und Pharmaprodukte effizient in kleinen Losen produzieren

Die zunehmende Individualisierung von Medizin- und Pharmaprodukten erfordert effiziente Produktionsprozesse, um insbesondere kleine Losgrößen wirtschaftlich herstellen zu können. Dazu ist es notwendig, ein Verständnis für die einzelnen Prozesse und ihre logistischen Verknüpfungen zu entwickeln sowie mögliche Optimierungspotenziale zu identifizieren. Hierzu bietet sich die in der Stückgutindustrie weitverbreitete Wertstrommethode an, die eine transparente Darstellung und ganzheitliche Produktionssystemoptimierung erlaubt. Dieser Beitrag zeigt auf, dass die Wertstrommethode für die Anwendung in der Medizinprodukte- und Pharmabranche geeignet ist und mit welchen methodischen Anpassungen sie angewendet werden kann. So können Produktionsabläufe beschleunigt, Produktionsprozesse in ihrer Leistung optimal aufeinander abgestimmt und eine wirtschaftliche Produktion von kleineren Losen erreicht werden.

The increasing individualization of medical and pharmaceutical products requires efficient production processes to produce small batch sizes economically. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop an understanding of individual processes and their logistical links and to identify optimization potentials methodically. Value stream mapping is a widely used method in the cargo industry. It allows a transparent representation and optimization of the holistic production system. This paper shows that the value stream method is generally applicable in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Some methodological adjustments, which are explained in detail, are necessary. Using the adopted value stream method, production processes can be accelerated, the performance of production processes can be optimally coordinated, and an economical production of smaller batches can be achieved.
