Title
An efficient quality assurance method for mobile business application development projects
Abstract
Mobile business applications are often developed in highly dynamic processes within a short development timeframe and using unfocused quality assurance activities. The state of the art does not provide a satisfactory answer to the question of how to accomplish efficient quality assurance during the development of mobile business applications. This paper proposes a quality assurance method encompassing a focused testing process and a perspective-based reading technique based on specified roles, on a defect classification, and on a frequency distribution of declared failure classes. As part of the evaluation of this method, the detection rate of defects and failures is an essential metric, resulting in several questions regarding the significance and dependencies of this metric.
