Title
Towards safe autonomic driving. Enhancing traditional hazard and risk analysis
Abstract
New technologies make it possible to implement systems that use existing behavior such as steering and acceleration to automate or semi-automate driving. A major problem with the introduction of these systems is that behavior can cause harm if it occurs in the wrong situation. This requires analyzing in which operational situations a certain behavior is safe. Due to the large number of operational situations, this is a complex task, with many potential risks if a certain behavior occurs in a particular situation. As a solution for coping with this complexity, we present a systematic model-based situation analysis.
