There are several cloud platforms from very different providers currently on the market and more are still emerging. When we look at statistics that is not surprising, as the cloud market is predicted to grow at an exponential rate over the next years. As the underlying fundament of the most ""Industrie 4.0"" scenarios, it is important to get a general understanding of cloud platforms.
