Rolling technology. Latest developments in the cold rolling of profiles

Surface profile rolling is performed in its variant forms "cross-rolling", "skew-rolling" and "longitudial rolling" as a process for the production forming of outer profiles on rotationally symmetric workpieces and workpiece elements. Two alternatives that have since acquired particular importance are profile cross-rolling with plunge rolls and profile skew-rolling with continuous rolling on machines fitted with two thread rolls.
