Meander coupler: A novel structure for WDM-applications

Abstract
The authors have realized a novel filter in GaInAsP/InP, which is a codirectional asymmetric coupler with periodic variation of the coupling constant. The transmission exhibits a sinc2-dependence, which offers particularly low crosstalk in combination with weighted coupling.
