Computer-based teaching and learning using Java and the WWW

In this paper we investigate on what bases CBT methodology and WWW technology can be beneficially combined. We then focus on the requirements fora Web-based CBT approach. Based on this, we present the learning and authoringconcepts within the IDEALS project. We then demonstrate how theses concepts are realised in IDEALS. A description of our validation scenario and conclusive remarks close the papers.
