Title

Adaptive Visual Concept for Controlling Cyber-Physical Production Modules based on Cognitive Associations

Abstract
Flexibilization of production systems and processes increases the functional complexity of the control systems for means of production in the factory. However, perceived complexity should be reduced. Highly perceived complexity requires specific training for workers and increases the number of potential errors and accidents. This paper compares three visual control system approaches to reduce the negative impacts of this complexity: classic, cognitive intuitive and cognitive reflective associative. Furthermore, the feasibility of implementing associative concepts to adapt control systems to the user's cognitive background has been analyzed and the technical requirements for its implementation are described.
