Title

A numerical investigation of lateral holeburning effects on the spectral behaviour of stripe geometry lasers

Abstract
The authors show using the split-step Fourier technique (SSFT) that, even in the context of a semiclassical theory of gain guided lasers, lateral holeburning effects lead to two-mode behaviour for certain ranges of output powers.
