Properties and performance of multicrystalline silicon wafers and ribbons
Abstract
The state-of-the-art of multicrystalline silicon preparation and characterization is reviewed. Cast materials as well as sheet and ribbon materials are discussed, and their specific merits and problems are outlined. It is shown that multicrystalline materials have made encouraging progress during recent years and that they might be able to replace crystalline substrates progressively.
