This diploma thesis is to make a contribution to generate a scientific way for determining energy balance of machine tools. Emphases: -Realisation of searches for available methods to generate energy balance of machine tools. The generally topics are the methods and identification numbers. -Theoretical analysis and systematisation of the conversion of energy within machine tools at the example of an milling machine. -Development and discussion of suggestions of identification numbers for the description of the energy efficiency. -Implication of the structural components to analyse for the energy balance.
