Abstract
Adhesive bonding is used increasingly as a joint technique for structural materials. Systematic optimization of these compounds demands precise investigations of the areas critically for the bond. For this ultramicrotomy represents an appropriate technique, especially for the preparation of thin sections required for analytical transmission electron microscopy.
