Polyethylene tanks: Contaminated plastics in a closed material loop

POLYETHYENE TANKS. A consortium of eight companies and four research institutes have developed a process for channelling the material used for heating-oil tanks and plastic fuel tanks into a closed material circuit. The soiling caused by the penetration of hydrocarbons is removed in an environmentally-compatible and cost-efficient-manner.
