Title
Fast time/frequency analysis for tunable diode lasers
Abstract
In order to specify and check lasers for high resolution spectroscopical gas analysis with dynamic tuning methods it is essential to quantify their tuning and linewidth characteristics. This can be done based on reference gas line absorption and/or on-line interferometric experiments. All the typical data of a specific laser must be analysed (extracted) by fast numeric techniques which take into account simultaneously and timeresolved the frequency (wavelength, wavenumber) and additional characteristics like frequency distribution or intensity. As an example, we report on a simulation of self heterodyning and matching numerical evaluation. The heterodyning model is constructed with a MatLab-Environment simulation tool called Simulink.
