Process Chains for Replications Technologies of Complex Optic Components

Abstract
The German collaborative research centre TR4 »Process Chains for Replication Technologies of Complex Optic Components« at the University of Bremen, the RWTH Aachen / Fraunhofer IPT and the Oklahoma State University at Stillwater (USA), was launched to determine the scientific bases of economical replication process technologies for complex optical design, mould design, construction, and the replication technologies blank pressing of glass and plastic injection moulding. An important field of the activities in the collaborative research centre is the interrelation between the process integrated design of optical systems and the computer controlled polishing (CCP). Both, the design and the CCP - activities are located at the Fraunhofer IPT.
