Novel wavelength-shift-free optical phase conjugator used for fiber nonlinearity mitigation in 200-Gb/s PDM-16QAM transmission

Abstract
We experimentally realize a wavelength-shift free optical phase conjugator exploiting inherent suppression of the original signal in a polarization-diversity loop. We achieve 0.5-dB Q2-factor improvement in 200 Gb/s PDM-16QAM transmission over 800 km.
