Title

Antireflective coatings for optical lenses based on plasma-etched melamine

Abstract
Organic layers can be used to realize special functions in optical interference coatings. Melamine was thermally evaporated and characterized as thin film on optical glass and silicon substrates. A plasma-etching procedure was applied to produce nanostruc-tures on top of the organic layer. Etched melamine layers are useful to provide antireflective properties especially on curved substrates and for a broad light incidence range.
