Joint Few-Mode O-band and Single-Mode C-Band Transmission Over a High Cut-Off Wavelength G.654 Compatible Fiber

Abstract
We demonstrate a proof-of-principle MIMO-supported, 3-mode transmission in an ITU- T-G.654 compatible fiber using O-band signals below the 1530 nm cut-off wavelength, jointly with single-mode C-band signals to extend the capacity of these fibers through SDM.
