Title

Transmitter enabling ultra-high speed transmission of phase modulated data signals up to 640 Gbit/s

Abstract
A transmitter capable of producing 400 fs phase coherent pulses is reported. The feasibility is shown in an OTDM transmission experiment of a single-polarization 640 Gbit/s DPSK signal over 2×80 km in a single wavelength channel.
