Train the trainer in eco-design

With the implementation of the EU directives WEEE and RoHS into national law the electronic and electrical equipment manufactures are directly responsible for fulfilling the recycling rates and for the substitution of the restricted hazardous substances. The Fraunhofer IPA has developed a "Train the trainer" learning concept specifically tailored to the needs of the engineers in the electrical industry. The goal is not only to train the participants in Eco-design but also to enable them to replicate the training to spread Eco-Design knowledge troughout their organisation. The training includes both theoretical and practical units on appliances in the participants field of work.
