Title
3-D point scatterer estimation for 3-D ISAR imaging and attitude determination
Abstract
This paper presents a novel algorithm which uses a set of 2-dimensional ISAR images to determine the 3-D positions of a set of point scatterers relative to each other. The projections of each point scatterer onto the image planes are assumed to be registered properly. In addition to the 3-D point scatterer positions relative to each other, the image plane orientations and the line-of-sight (LOS) directions are determined relative to these positions. If two radar images from two different sites are available for the same time instance, the absolute 3-D position of the scatterers can be reconstructed.
