Abstract
The current trends in sheet metal forming lead to increasing requirements on technology. Especially the implementation of innovative technologies requires a higher dynamic and accordingly a modification of the slide movement with retention or increasing productivity. Electro-mechanical servo-presses offer the possibility to meet these requirements. Already the dimensioning of the servo-presses requires a simulation of the mechatronic system, which considers the interaction of machine structure, control, drives and process. The article shows using the example of the synchronous deep-drawing the requirements for the mechatronic modeling and derives general optimization and research potential in terms of energy efficiency.
