Das Dialogsystem PRODIA - Formular oder Interview

Due to the growing complexity of software systems there is a need for integration of software tools leading to coherent toolsets with uniform user interfaces. One of the goals of the German software engineering project PROSYT is to provide both the designer and the user of software tools with comfortable dialogue facilities: the designer should be able to specify user dialogues on a high level, where on the one hand he or she is rid of the technicalities concerning how to realize the I/O on the multiwindow bitmap workstation, and on the other hand the designer should be able to separate cleanly different aspects of the dialogue specification from each other: the logical intertwining of dialogue steps, the performing of actions belonging to a dialogue step, and the layout. The user of the integrated toolsets shall be provided with an uniform style of interaction which in PROSYT includes a combination of form mask and menu techniques leading into the direction of "interview like" dialogu es rather than mere "inquiry form like" dialogues.
