Simulationsunterstützung für den Entwurf von Feldbussystemen

Automation systems on the field level are characterized by a distibution of the control function between seperate devices. The communication of the subsystems is more and more performed by buses. During the design of such systems the functionality and the performance have to be proved. For both we propose a common modelling and simulation approach whiches includes the protocol behaviour of the participants , their interactions, and the system dynamics. As the basis of the simulation of the whole system we choose VHDL simulators which are often used in design of digital systems. The modelling approach is detailed on an LON-based system. With a task of process control the features of a simulation supported design are demonstrated.
