Title

Multisensor catheter for invasive measurement of blood parameters

Abstract
A multisensor catheter for the intravascular measurement of blood parameters is presented. The catheter contains a set of silicon chips that can process the signals of a large number of sensors. This includes on-chip transducers and signal conditioning as well as signal amplification and analog-to-digital conversion. CMOS techniques for sensor fabrication allow a monolithic realization. The chip size enables a catheter of 2 mm in diameter to include two lumina for infusion purposes.
