Abstract
Industrial heritage structures are a valuable part of a nation's history, preserved and maintained in many countries. Their maintenance and structural assessment is complex and necessary, not only from a safety point of view, but also for their possible reuse, e. g. for cultural events. This study addresses the use of nondestructive evaluation methods for the assessment of these structures under the general perspective of building management. The identification of missing links in the procedures to support management decisions through reliable measurement data is necessary to develop a roadmap for a future integrated system.
