Business success by efficiently using forming technology in design, production and assembly

Business success is not only a question of having the right products - it is also dependent on whether these products are produced in the right way. This usually means to manufacture the right quality at the lowest costs possible. Since product design has by far the largest influence on manufacturing costs, in many cases it is beneficial to re-evaluate designs of single parts or assemblies. In the paper at hand, we demonstrate how forming technology can be used to decrease weight and costs of existing parts and by this to add to business success.
