Title
On Dynamics of Communication-Based Distributed Consensus Control in Islanded Microgrids
Abstract
The paper focuses on dynamics of islanded microgrids where communication-based distributed consensus control is a primary controller and it is supported by measurements from fast-reporting phasor measurement unit devices. With its objective of power sharing and voltage control, the distributed consensus control substitutes the classical primary control based on droop and does not require secondary control. The system dynamics are analyzed through cyberphysical (CP) model that includes electrical, communication-based consensus and control equations from both physical and cyber layers. The CP model enables analysis of dynamics in islanded microgrid with an arbitrary electrical and communication structures under conditions of large disturbances.
