Untersuchungen zur Identifizierung von holzzerstörenden Pilzen am Fachwerk. Teil 2

Title Supplement
Methode zur Ausbreitungsbestimmung des Echten Hausschwammes (Serpula lacrimans) am Beispiel der Schrotholzkirche in Wespen
Abstract
The "Schrotholz"-Church in Wespen has been built as a block construction. An immense decay is caused by the dry rot especially in the sapwood part of the pine trunk. Dry rot as all brown rot fungi are producing in the wood a relative large quantity of oxalic acid which seems to occur in the old material only as salt. In order to assess the extension of the fungal infection, which is often overlapped with insect decay, the concentration of water-soluble and water-insoluble oxalates has to be controlled. The sampling needs only small amounts of material (2-5 g) thus preserving the original substance of the historic building
