Title

Virtual factory framework - HOMAG industrial use case

Abstract
This paper describes an industrial use case within the scope of the European project Virtual Factory Framework (VFF) for HOMAG, a manufacturer of machines and equipment for the woodworking industry. The overall goals of this industrial use case is to improve and enable the holistic planning and implementing of manufacturing lines from the requirements analysis to the designed, optimized and finally simulated planning status. To reach these goals, several functional modules are developed and integrated within the VFF for supporting the planning phases in this use case.
