Virtuelles Forschungslabor für die Produktionstechnik

VRL-KCiP ist ein "Network of Excellence"-Projekt im 6. Forschungsrahmenprogramm der Europäischen Kommission mit derzeit 25 international anerkannten FuE-Partnern aus 15 Ländern. Ziel des Projekts ist der Aufbau eines europaweiten virtuellen Forschungslabors, das als weltweit führende Wissenschaftsorganisation die Kompetenzen der beteiligten Forschungsinstitutionen auf dem Gebiet der Produktionswissenschaft bündelt.

VRL-KCiP has successfully established a delocalized research structure in the area of Holistic Production Research at the European level which currently consists of 24 internationally well-renowned research sites from 15 different countries. As such it grew out from a Network of Excellence in the 6th Framework Program of the European Commission, which was launched in 2004. The VRL-KCiP thus represents an international platform of excellent research in the various fields of holistic production which provides its know-how in the form of services, tools, and collaborative projects to both industry and academia.
