Title
Sensorgesteuerte Relativpositionierung von Textilteilen.
Other Title
Pattern-specific positioning of textile parts by sensory controlled manipulation
Abstract
In the production of high quality clothes a frequent task is the pattern-specific matching of two parts before the sewing operation. At present the sewing process is often automated and the positioning of the parts is done by humans. Since this monotonous work requires high degree of concentration and is done in social isolation, its automation is desirable. A TV-sensor system is in development, that measures the position and orientation of the two textile parts by methods based on correlation. The textile parts are then positioned by sensory controlled manipulators. (IITB)
