Title
Evaluating multimedia availability for groupware
Abstract
The production of non-traditional documents documents (multimedia) by a group, as opposed to an individual, is the main motivation of this research work. To wirk properly, a group needs to communicate: more than enhancing the contents of documents, multimedia technology can also be used to enhance the communication channels within a group. How these factors (multimedia documents and communication and groups of authors) fit together are the main questions to be tackled by this work. To this end, we elaborated a conceptual framework of the problem, built a prototype system and then used this prototype system to conduct a group effectiveness study.
