Title
Comparison of Electrical and Mechanical Properties of Stretchable Circuit Boards
Abstract
This study provides a comparison of four distinct technologies used to create stretchable circuit boards with stretchable conductive tracks: silver conductive paste, liquid metal, circuit carriers with conductor tracks made from metal-coated textiles (textile circuit boards, TCBs), and stretchable printed circuit boards with meander-shaped copper conductor tracks (SCBs). Their electrical performance while stretching, their fracture strain, and durability under cyclic mechanical loading was evaluated. The findings reveal differences in performance across the technologies, offering valuable insights for developers and manufacturers in selecting appropriate materials for flexible and stretchable electronic applications.
