This handbook is for all those involved in robot performance testing and calibration, and offers many new suggestions and practical guidelines, hints and advice. Finally it is material for a future revision of the standard ISO 9283 and the standardisation of robot calibration. Besides the handbook itself, this volume contains the following reference documents; - Measurement Tools for Robot Testing. - Performance Criteria and Related Test Methods (IRIS-DIS 9283, Part 1). An entirely new suggestion for an international standard on robot performance testing (not contained in the latest version of ISO 9283; 1998) and being is aimed at improving precision of criteria and test-procedure definition, at improving reliability, precision and reproducibility of data evaluation, and at improving user assistance in implementing the criteria defined. - Standardisation of Calibration (IRIS-DIS 9283, Part 2).
