Title

Corrosion resistant materials for the synthesis of ultramarine

Other Title
Korrosionsbeständige Werkstoffe für die Synthese von Ultramarin
Abstract
The aim of the investigation was to find corrosion resistant materials for the ultramarine synthesis in a continuously operated batch reactor. Reaction tests were performed under the expected service conditions. Analysis concentrated on investigations by EDX. For parts, which are in direct contact with the powder mixture, for 'reductive' and 'neutral' conditions composites based on molybdenum disilicide and for 'oxidative' conditions the Ni-base superalloy Inconel 625 are potential materials to meet the requirements. For parts, which are not in direct contact with the powder mixture, high temperature stable steels like X10CrAlSi18 are potential materials.
