Methods for bulk growth of inorganic crystals

Abstract
Many modern technological systems would not exist without synthetic single crystals. Therefore, the technology to prepare and to produce bulk single crystals—which is called “crystal growth”—is one of the current key technologies. This article gives an overview about the techniques which are used to grow bulk single crystals of inorganic materials. This includes melt, solution and vapor growth techniques.
