Title

Simulative Study of the Applicability of Topological Modifications for Gear Skiving

Abstract
Gear skiving is a process that has been increasingly used in recent years due to technological developments. The process is used for soft and hard fine machining. As a quality-determining process in hard fine machining, it is possible to apply topological modifications to the tooth flanks. These modifications can have a positive influence on the operating behavior of gears. At present, however, there is no knowledge about the applicability of modifications by gear skiving. In this report, the extent to which modifications can be applied to tooth flanks by gear skiving is investigated by simulation.
