Title

Angular Spread Measurement Using Electronically Switched Beam Technique of Conformal 2 × 2 Patch Array Antenna

Abstract
This paper discusses an angular spread measurement at 5.8 GHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band. The measurement used eight 2 × 2 patch array antennas in a conformal form, and it used an electronic-radio-frequency (RF) switch to change an active antenna among the conformal elements sequentially. A non-line-of-sight (NLOS) case has been investigated as a practical example of getting multipath signals. The results of some measurement points in an indoor scenario show the angular spread, and in some of them, are close to the simulation result.
