Rapid prototyping, tooling & manufacturing - state of the industry - Germany
Abstract
The German market for additive fabrication technology is the largest and one of the most competitive in Europe. Through the end of 2004, an estimated 1,248 system were installed in the country. The situation in Germany has forced the technology providers and suppliers to focus on specific technologies on order to achieve the highest expertise in selected applications and industrial sectors. Low-volume, customer-specific rapid manufacturing is evolving with new and promising market opportunities, espacially for small and medium-sized enterprises.
