Experimental demonstration of a direction-of-arrival estimation algorithm for millimeter-wave switched beam array antennas

Abstract
In this paper, the experimental demonstration of a direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm, based on power measurements and suitable for switched-beam array antennas operating in the millimeter-wave band, is reported. Simulation and experimental results for the proposed algorithm using a four-element array antenna operating at 60 GHz have been obtained, showing excellent agreement.
