Bildgebung und Bildverarbeitung zur Erhöhung der Aussagefähigkeit zerstörungsfreier Prüverfahren

The paper describes the state of the art in the application of image processing for nondestructive testing (NDT). There are methods like X-ray testing of particle testing where the test results are images. Other methods like eddy-current testing or ultrasonic testing can give images when a test object is scanned moving a probe across its surface. Image processing is used for the operation and storage of test results and for the estraction of informations from images. The later is important for automated testing procedures. Furthermore, the stage of application of image processing for different NDT-methods is compared and tendencies for further developments ar discussed.
