Titel
Modelling of Impact Zones at Cutting with Abrasive Waterjets
Abstract
Modelling of the very processes that are involved in waterjet machining is an essential part to gain better understanding for optimization of the process. In this paper two different zones within the process are discussed introducing the particle impact zone model. With experimental evaluations mechanisms of the primary and consecutive (secondary) impacts could be differentiated. This complies with the results of previous nonlinear modelling approaches identifying a Hopf-like bifurcation scheme.
