Title
Verfahren zur Erfassung von Prozessparametern und Holzwerkstoffprodukt
Other Title
Process parameter e.g. temperature, detecting method for wood-based panel, involves introducing measuring instrument into non-pressed starting material during on-going production process of wood-based product, to detect process parameters
Abstract

WO 2008148380 A1 UPAB: 20090103 NOVELTY - The method involves hot-pressing a wood-based product i.e. wood-based panel, by applying pressure and heat. A measuring instrument (3) is introduced into a non-pressed starting material e.g. chipping, strand or fiber layer (2), during on-going production process of the wood-based product, to detect process parameters e.g. pressure, temperature, and/or humidity, in the end product. The measured process parameters are transmitted to an external readout unit, in a wireless manner, by the measuring instrument that is designed as a transducer. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a wood-based product made of a hot-pressed wood material. USE - Method for detecting a process parameter e.g. temperature, pressure, humidity, spreading density, spreading behavior uniformity and gluing factor, of a wood-based product (claimed) i.e. wood-based panel, during manufacturing of the product. Can also be used for an oriented strand board panel, medium density fiberboard panel, high density fiberboard panel and chipboard panel. ADVANTAGE - The method detects the relevant process parameter e.g. temperature, of the wood-based product, during manufacturing of the product, such that the manufacturing process is regulated. The method permits the measuring instrument to be left in the wood-based product without affecting product quality, thus reducing cost associated with removal of the measuring instrument from the wood-based product, while avoiding damage to the end product.
