Abstract
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Mikrokomposite mit einer mittleren Partikelgroesse zwischen 1 und 50 <m aus einer aus einem hochschmelzenden Polymer bestehenden Matrix und mindestens einem in dieser enthaltenen Kunststoffadditiv, wobei das Polymer bis zu Temperaturen von 300<C thermisch stabil und in einem mit Wasser emulgierbaren organischen Loesungsmittel loeslich ist.

EP 1380617 A UPAB: 20040316 NOVELTY - Micro-composites (I) with an average particle size of 1-50 microns, comprising (A) a high-melting polymer matrix and (B) plastics additive(s), in which the polymer (A) is stable at temperatures up to 300 deg. C and soluble in an organic solvent which can be emulsified with water. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for the production of (I) by dissolving (A) in a solvent and adding (B), making a stable, viscous emulsion by adding an emulsifying medium, adding an extractant to remove the solvent and form the micro-composite (I) and then isolating (I) by liquid-solid separation. USE - As particulate fillers and for incorporating plastics additives into polymeric materials (claimed). ADVANTAGE - Microcomposites with high thermal and mechanical stability, which can be obtained by a simple, low-cost method and compounded with thermoplastics by conventional methods, e.g. in twin screw extruders or kneaders, to give compounds which can be processed by conventional thermoplastic forming methods, e.g. extrusion, injection moulding or thermoforming.
