Pyrotechnische Ladung zur Freigabe von eingeschlossenem Druckgas

A pyrotechnical charge for the high-speed opening of a bursting seal of a compressed gas vessel, in particular for transferring the compressed gas to another chamber at lower pressure, e.g. for airbags in motor vehicles, consists of an energy carrier comprising crystalline nitramines, in preference RDX or HMX, and an energy-rich, reactive polymer acting as a binder, e.g. difunctional or polyfunctional glycidyl acid polymer (GAP). Such a charge results in a rapid build-up of the opening pressure and generates sufficient heat to avoid the gas from cooling down on overflowing.
