Abstract
The workpiece carrier serves for use in electrostatic coating processes. The workpiece carrier is provided for holding a workpiece and an electric field can be generated between the workpiece and the spraying device to guide coating particles. The workpiece carrier is formed of an electrically insulating material, at least in the area of its surfaces, in order to suppress the formation of an effective electrical field between the workpiece carrier and the spraying device. The electrically insulating material has an electrical surface resistance of at least 10->4 ohm-meter.
