Es werden Verfahren zum Kultivieren von Stammzellen (2, 3, 5), umfassend die Schritte Einfuehrung von Zellmaterial, das mindestens eine Stammzelle (2, 3, 5) eines Donor-Organismus umfasst, in ein Wirts-Ei (4) mit einem Naehrstoffreservoir, und Kultivierung des Zellmaterials im Wirts-Ei (4), eine Zellkultur und eine Zellkultureinrichtung zur Durchfuehrung des Verfahrens beschrieben.

WO2005113750 A UPAB: 20051222 NOVELTY - Method for cultivating stem cells (SC) comprises introducing a cellular material (A), containing at least one SC from a donor organism, into a host egg (4) that contains a nutrient reservoir, and culturing (A) in the egg. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) cell culture that comprises (4) in which (A), containing at least one SC, has been arranged; (2) cell culture device comprising an incubator that includes an incubation space for receiving (4); and (3) use of an egg as an incubator for cells, particularly SC, introduced externally into the egg. USE - The method is especially used to produce (i) embryos for breeding fish or animals or (ii) by differentiation, organs and tissues of higher animals. Especially the method is used to prepare multicellular structures, containing different types of cells, e.g. for transplantation and for extracorporeal treatments, e.g. washing blood; also for producing substances and as pharmaceutical tissue models. ADVANTAGE - The method ensures growth of SC under conditions very close to the natural growing conditions, making possible predetermined differentiation and targeted growth of tissues, organs and organisms. The SC can be cultured for more than 25 passages (over a year) with retention of their capacities for self renewal and unlimited division. The egg provides the spatial constraints needed for three-dimensional cell contacts.
