Abstract
(A1) Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Beschichtung von Partikeln mit einer lumineszierenden anorganischen Schale. Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung Partikel mit einer lumineszierenden anorganischen Schale sowie deren Verwendung.

WO 2010102820 A1 UPAB: 20101002 NOVELTY - Coating the particles having an average particle size of 20 nm to 20 mu m with a luminescent inorganic shell, comprises: (a) synthesizing the core; (b) coating the core with an inorganically doped material; and (c) temperature treating the coated core. As step (c) a stepwise heat treatment of the coated core is carried out with a condition that in at least a first step the coated core is pretreated at below 0 degrees C and then in at least a second step a heat treatment is carried out for the formation of a crystalline shell. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a particle with a luminescent inorganic shell, producible by the above method. USE - The particle with a luminescent inorganic shell is useful: as luminescent markers for biological and medical diagnostics; as optically detectable diffusion probes; as substrates for the heterogeneous catalysis; for the production of light-emitting diodes; for production of safety systems; as markers for detecting plagiarism and/or originals; as up/down-converters e.g. for solar system; as components for luminescent coating; as components for pharmacotherapy; and in inks (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method produces aggregate poor particles with a luminescent inorganic shell cost and with smaller size distributions.
